WATMON project is decided to be funded by TUBITAK (Project No: 5170043). Marmara University is the Project Coordinator and Migros Tic. A.S. is the industrial organization.

Marmara University will develop: 1) sensor device and its software that will be located in stores and constantly detect the problems by controlling the existence of Wi-Fi access, 2) Algorithms and software that measure the performance values in the communication between stores and the Data Center, 3) Software to monitor the data collected from all stores in the Data Center will be developed. Sensors and the software will behave as devices that use Wi-Fi access in the stores and will continuously report whether applications and network access devices are running or not. Possible problems will be detected in advance and will provide decision support in the Data Center to take decisions to prevent problems that cause service disruption.
